Mayflower Saison is brewed with pilsner, munich, and wheat malts and hopped with the traditional Styrian Goldings. The farmhouse yeast used for this beer adds a distinct peppery spiciness. This dry, hoppy, thirst quenching beer is perfect for the days of spring and summer.

On-tap 8/5/2014 at British Beer Company in Walpole, MA served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains bananas, Belgian yeast, wheat, light caramelized malts and touches of spice and hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. There is some wild Belgian yeast funk in the background. Then some sweet flavors of caramel and bananas come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid beer to drink for a long time.

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, medium carbonation, orange-tan in color, clear
Smell: pepper and lemon
Taste: hay, pepper and lemon
Mouthfeel: sweet and funky, medium-light bodied and medium carbonation
Overall: An above average saison that hits everything that I would expect in the style. Certainly one to try if you can find it, but there are others I prefer in the style.

Served in a snifter at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy pale orange with vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Spicy, pepper, pilsner malts, citrus, vanilla, green apple, and powdery yeast.
Taste: Same as above with nice dpicecsnf citrus hop flavor. Lingering mild bitterness in the rear.
Mouthfeel: Refreshing, a little dry, chewy, mild bitterness, and medium to high carbonation.
Overall: Never knew the Saison style was brought here by the Pilgrims. If it wasn't, no worries. I still enjoyed this beer. Keg was recently tapped too.
