This Saison pays tribute to Tisquantum (Squanto), a Patuxet who helped the Pilgrims recover from a hard first winter by teaching them native methods of cultivation.

Bottled 04/02/15.
Pours a light fizzy foamy 1/2 finger head that fades at a slower pace and mild foamy lacing, crystal clear watery pale touch of a neon yellow color, very light and watery.
Nose is pretty nice, great farmhouse funk, nice farmhouse saison with an earthy funk note, not Brett just farmhouse, mild straw and grassy notes, a hint lemony, touch cereal and grainy, hints of peppery phenols and spices, with a little fruity ester note.
Taste brings more cereal grain notes, toasted malts, a little dough like and straw. Some nice farmhouse funk, earthy saison farmhouse, great yeast character, as well as mild phenol spices and lemony notes, as well as some fruity esters, etc. Hints of grassy hops, with hint of bitterness. Some juicy malt character, straw and toasted malt late, as the finish dries, some grassy slight spicy hop note, a little more phenolic spices and lemony note, some more dough and straw malts.
Mouth is med bod, nice carb.
Overall nice farmhouse saison, great yeast characters with farmhouse funk and phenolic spices, light fruity esters, lemony notes, etc. Nice malt, toasted grain straw like but light enough, as well as hints of grassy hops. Pretty enjoyable and tasty, well done, other than lack of color.

Best beer I've had in a while. It almost tastes like a pilsner but it still has the typical saison wheat and banana flavor. Crisp, dry finish.

This is a great farmhouse ale! Its sweet sparkley grape Belgian kinda like tank 7....yet still has that slight dank earthy saison notes. Quite an excellent beer!

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. April 2015 bottling date. Sampled on May 31, 2015.
Bubbly, pale yellow pour. Head that diminishes.
The aroma is full of all those Belgian characteristics you love such as toasted bread, yeast, pepper, coriander, and grassy hops.
Light and refreshing body.
Soft toasted characters and spice in the taste with a clean, crisp hop finish.
