Love & Wrestling is a double dry-hopped New England double IPA bursting with flavor. Hefty amounts of wheat and oats make for a creamy first sip, while big dry hop additions of Citra and Amarillo contribute notes of orange, lime, pine, grapefruit and a kiss of cantaloupe and honeydew melon.

Really impressed. Maybe I wasn't expecting greatness given Mayflower has traditionally been a brewery of classic styles, But this DIPA is great, full tropical fruit on display in the nose and in flavor. Full body but still quenching enough. Between this and 400, I've been impressed with Mayflower's NEIPA game.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that has very good retention properties and also left thick lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberry are present in the nose along with notes of grapefruit and hints of pine.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of grapefruit are a touch stronger and there are also some hints of alcohol.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, very juicy and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The use of oats in this beer definitely help to lighten up the body and lend some smoothness to the mouthfeel, making it easier to drink than if it was a standard Double IPA.

On-tap 12/4/2021 at Jillian’s Sports Pub & Grille in Somerset, MA, served in a US tumbler glass.
A: The beer is a hazy yellowish gold color, with a short dense off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains strong citrus & tropical fruits, floral & dank hops and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out sweet with strong flavors of citrus and tropical fruits. Then a nice floral and dank hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Very tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, good kick, very good representation of style. This is a very good 2NEIPA to drink for a long time.

16oz can served in a Mayflower pint glass. Received as retaliation from @WunderLlama in BIF #14. Dated 09/15/21.
Pours a hazy golden with a fairly large fairly coarse head. Smell is mild grapefruit and stronger resin, maybe a hint of melon.
Taste is pretty interesting. Soft is the first word that comes to mind. I kind of get a little biscuit from it. I get some orange and/or grapefruit pith, I think. Moderate floweriness, moderate ripe mango, moderate melon rind.
Mouthfeel is rich and soft. Overall, this is a good beer.

Fluffy off-white head on a pale gold body; good amount of lace.
Scent is disappointing - soapy and a vague fruit?
Flavor is better. Sweet tropical fruit and citrus.
Soft creamy mouth feel and a medium body

This one courtesy of Mr. @tasterschoice62 pours a very orange with a 2 plus finger sticky off white head that leaves massive thick streaks as it slowly settles. 4.5
Smell melon, mandarin, pineapple, and apricot. 3.75
Taste follows honey dew, orange, pineapple, and apricot. 3.75
Mouthfeel is rather big and sticky, soft and gentle on the palate, and at 8% ABV goes down easy enough. 4.25
Overall this is solid, but once again with this brewery it is lacking that wow factor, I have been waiting to get into a lot of these beers sent from Larry because I have a buddy who I want to share them with and it was canned on 11/07/19, but still just missing something. 3.75
