This was my 4th beer from this Brewing as I came back another day to enjoy many more from Sarasota Brewing Co and review their beers. This Pale Lager was poured into a Pint glass and I was able to talk with the main Brewmaster, Vince, about this Lager and their Winter Imperial Pils in which they brew only on a Seasonal/Rotating schedule. Great to be able to enjoy the beer with the man who makes it!
Appearance- A dark-yellow lager, crisp and clear, and had 2 fingers of head. This head disappeared quickly (weak retention) and left hardly no lace or trails of any head behind.
Smell- A very light malty scent and medium hops character. Almost as if it was a pale ale.
Taste- The malty character came out again and then a strong hit of lemon hops hit the mouth. A yeast characteristic can also be contributed to the taste or mouthfeel.
Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied with a dry finish. There is a creamy texture also included in this beer. Bitterness is highly left on the palate while it is also smooth. Nice beer all around!
Drinkability- Simple and easy to enjoy! The lemon hops or this pale ale characteristic made me think a lot about this style but Vince convinced me it was a American Pale Lager in how the Brew Process was explained to me (fermented with lager yeast at ale temperatures). This is another I would love to try again but may be hard since it is on Rotation at this Brewery.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
