C.H. Evans Brewing Co. "Hazy Days Of Sumner"
via cask at the brewery on 4 June 2016
$5/16 oz.
I hope I got the name right, but I copied it directly from the chalk board. I thought it might be a reference to Gordon Sumner (Sting), but who knows? It was probably supposed to say "summer", but they screwed up - hey, I'm just writing what I saw.
It's their "Hefeweizen dry hopped with Huell Melon", which my wife thought was an actual melon! It's actually a German hop derived from Cascade and Huell hops, but the hop is that good - it really gives it a kind of honeydew melon flavor, backed by strawberry, and perhaps some other ripe red berries and tropical fruits.
I found it an interesting addition to what would otherwise be a standard hefeweizen, which made it all that more compelling.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
