Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a light purple hue and a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head has a light level of retension, fading to leave almost no lacing.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a lemon and blueberry smell mixed with some notes of grain and bread. Along with these aromas comes a little bit of caramel and a touch of grass.
Taste- The taste begins with a light grainy and cracker malt flavor mixed with some blueberry and a touch of lemon. As the taste advances the lemon gets stronger, all while the blueberry remains constant. There is some caramel sweetness along with a bit of the Splenda flavor, with the later getting more intense as the taste advances. Toward the end of the taste, there is a bit of hay that joins in, and with the rest of the tastes, leaves on with a Splenda sweetened blueberry lemonade beer like flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and thin with a higher level of carbonation. For the style and lemonade nature of the brew, the feel is great, making for a very easy sipper.
Overall – An alright brew. If you drink Splenda sweetened drinks, which I do, you won’t mind the flavor and will appreciate the lac of added sugar. If you don’t like Splenda, you will not like this, but if you don’t mind it is a rather crisp and easy drinker Shandy.

Smells like blueberries. Looks decent enough.
The flavor though. My god. It's like someone made sure every blueberry that went into this beer was rubbed vigorously on their taint. The lemon is like rubbing acid on a wound. Gross.

I decided to try this beer only because it was among the random single bottles available at my local liquor store for just a dollar. That's probably my favorite thing about the beer, the price I paid ;) ...I was impressed with the strong and pleasant blueberry aroma that filled my apartment directly upon opening. However I was slightly disappointed after taking the first swig. It tasted more like an intensely blueberry flavored Belgium than a shandy. The feel was perfectly carbonated and frothy almost, so that was nice. Unfortunately I was just hoping for more of the lemonade/soda quality that you typically find in a shandy. If you like Wachusett's blueberry beer, you'll enjoy this though, so give it a try!

Beer Summit sample pour. Very clear bodied. Not very shandy looking. The blueberry aroma is excessive. To its credit, it smells more of a natural blueberry than anything truly fake but the intensity is off putting. Flavor is all blueberry with some wheatiness of the finish. Light bodied. The blueberry flavoring sticks to your lips.
