Saint Somewhere Brewing Co. "Punaise De Amour"
on tap @ Locale Market, St. Petersburg, FL on 12/28/14
Notes: Brass colored body with a pink cast beneath a short head of white. Limited head retention and lacing. The aroma suggests raspberry and some non-descript fruit 'pulp' (rather than juice), which is probably actually coming from the hibiscus but I'm not sure. There's also a little bit of malt that's a bit like a light bread crust. The flavor delivers more fruit, and some wheat within the malt. It's not really that fruity, nor do I find any distinct funk. It finishes dry, and perhaps just a slight touch tart.

On tap at coopers craft in chelsea NYC. Poured into a 12 oz flute. Clear amber in color with a finger of off white foam. Touch of berry in the nose along with floral hops. More berry and biscuity malt character in the taste. Advertised as brewed with coriander but I'm not picking it up in the nose or tongue. A touch watery in the mouthfeel, I expect a bit more carbonation in a saison.
