Tap
Pours very light golden, almost water clear. Sugar white lacing.
Smells of light sweet barley malt.
Tastes of crisp barley and biscuit malts. Light corn sweet finish.
Light body, tingly carbonation on the tongue.
Very smooth drinking light beer. This is unbelievably good for a light lager.

It's hard to do a light lager that has much if any aroma or flavor. This beer has almost no aroma and the flavor isn't awful, but it's rather watery and very very sweet. Lots of corn with a surprisingly slightly bitter finish. Feel is a bit heavy because it's pretty sweet. Overall it serves a purpose, but it's nothing special.

The 557 Light Lager is good....just not my beer style of choice. It is a smart addition to the offerings by Brickstone as there is still a large volume of people that don't want crafty beers. This one poured a straw yellow with white head that left some lace. The scent has faint bread like notes. The taste was evenly balanced and was crisp. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was good.
