22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled late 2017, had 9/15/18. Thought it was 12 year barrels, but whatever.
Pours near black and opaque, with a half inch head of darker foam and some foamy lacing. Aromas of coffee, malt, chocolate, light bourbon, some caramel, light vanilla, a little oak and smoke. The taste pretty much follows along, with a stronger bourbon presence leading. Then coffee, malt, chocolate, some caramel, light vanilla and oak. Smooth, lightly creamy, a good full body, well carbonated.
Great coffee, the bourbon was lighter than expected overall, it’s best when fully warmed. Very enjoyable and worth a purchase.
