8/4….pours amber copper with thick white foam. Heavy drift and fixed solid. Faint fruity nose, breads. Smooth pale taste, crisp, bitter burst, citrus, pine. Balanced taste, nice bite. Tasty.

Poured a hazy orange amber with a rambunctious big head of foam that stayed forever and left thick sticky lace. Smells sweet and delectable with orange and lemon citrus, sweet pine notes and bright floral on a caramel malt base. A touch of yeast, apple and bread as it warms really brings the nose together. Taste is fat malt. Lots of bread and toffee with floral hops and a citrus sweetness. Grassy, not too bitter and pine is really pine on the palate. Leaves oily and crisp with a lingering aftertaste that wasn’t just bitter but had a subtle and ample sweetness as well. This was a great drink.

22oz bottle purchased as a single from Byrne Dairy in Syracuse by the fairgrounds.

Poured into an imperial pint, formed a 1/4" off-white head over the clear golden amber brew. Head dwindles promptly, with average lace. Aroma is stanky, maybe skunky hops.

Taste peeks sweet at the beginning, but rest of the experience is the stank. Alcohol bite lingers after the swallow. Mouthfeel is smooth, but drinkability suffers a poor fate. I'll get through it, but I've had better.

22 oz bottle, no date.

appears a clear copper in color, thin white head, decent retention. aroma is a bit piney, also flowery.

slightly sweet caramel malt taste, with significant hop bite. thin to medium body, with fizzy higher carbonation level.

overall - about an average Pale Ale, aroma is the best attribute.

Appearance: pours a hazy orange color with a 1" head that falls to some large bubbles on the glass rim.

Smell: caramel, ripe fruits, and some citrus. Floral tones rounds it out.

Taste: follows the nose as caramel, orange, golden apples, and a floral bitterness make up a nice pale ale.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp from start to finish. Refreshing and a short aftertaste here.

Overall: a nice pale ale that is easy to quaff and is refreshing.

nice medium to light amber color with a thick head of white that sat on top throughout the entire session, nice lacing down the glass.

aroma is light, nice little notes of citrus, hints of apple, pears, light grasses and a smooth, even flavor or light fruity yeast. as i take the first sip i get the clean, crisp flavor right off the bat. really nicely done. clean and light hops, a good strain of yeast and very nice carbonation all lead to a solid pale

Big thanks to rageagainst123 for the local goody!

A - Pours a nice light amber color. Clarity is great, and head was a big 2 finger monster, off white, and fluffy. Laces well and dissipates to a nice film.

S - Big flowery hop notes, pine, resin. Some nice malt notes of biscuit and crackers. Citrus shines through as well.

T - Nice floral taste, slight citrus, and some nice pine notes. Mildly bitter, with a nice malt base. Slight sweetness balances nicely.

M - Feel was slick, crisp, and upper light in body.

D/O - Drink is great. Overall, a super tasty pale! I really enjoyed the floral hops, and subtle maltiness.

A-Clear yellow orange, some carbonation

S-Very malty, bread tones plus the hops you'd expect from an APA.

T-Ends bitter, starts buttery, with bread and wheat flavors. An interesting combination for an APA

M-Medium bodied, no carbonation.

O-A good APA, has enough bitterness but it lets the interesting malt profile shine through. Only 5.3% abv an easy drinking beer. Another solid brew from Horseheads Brewing.

Light amber with good clarity and long lasting head that leaves good lacing.

Floral hop aroma backed by a light bready maltiness. Not a big aroma but inviting. Crisp clean flavor with earthy hops nicely balanced with a nutty malt flavor.

Refreshing light body with a crisp finish. Enough depth of flavor to keep the interest up for a whole bottle (and now I am sorry I only bought one). Definitely worth checking out for APA fans. I would drink this regularly if I could get it.

Pours a solid shaded amber color with suspended particulate and a two fingers of foamy dirty egg shell colored collar that fades slowly to a whole lot of lacing...some 3-D. The smell is sweet and earthy and somewhat of musty fruit...a real winner. The mouth feel is adequately carbonated, medium-full bodied and all together creamy...a real compliment to the flavors. The taste is classic pale ale...a malt core with floral highlights. At 5.3% ABV this one is an incredible drinker. I wish this one was contracted draft locally.

Another Horseheads brew courtesy of Lum, thank you sir!

22 oz. bomber poured into a nonic.

Pours a chunky two finger off-white head that slowly falls to a soft layer of bubbles. A fair amount of lacing is left on the sides of the glass as well. Smell is light and citrusy with a good amount of earthy and musty hops. Floral notes can be detected in the nose too. A bit of pale and caramel malt in the nose as well, but I have a feeling this APA will be about the hops. Bitter citrus hop flavors up front followed by some pine resin and a touch of pale malt. Metallic notes and some more citrus midway with a nice bitter aftertaste. Medium body with a fluffy and smooth feel to it. Carbonation has a strong presence but fits well into the overall experience. There aren't too many APA's I flock to, Alpha King is probably the only one I can think of. But this is an enjoyable beer for sure and went down quite easily. Definitely looking forward to more offerings from these guys. Thanks again Paul!

A- Dark straw with light white bubbly head that hold strong thru the sample.

S- Light hop. piney smell with a nice level malt base.

T- Hops are in the front, but the balanced malt element really stands out with this beer.

M- medium

D- Very much so. A quick visit to the brewery and I only grabbed one bottle to sample. Had a sample at the tap, but did not really enjoy this beer til I had it at home. Really ticked that I can get this around here in DE. Stop by the place, they are good beer people.

The beer pours a dark golden color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a solid pale malt scent along with a mild hop aroma. The taste is good. It has a crisp pale malt flavor along with some carapils for body and balance. The hops are in full force and add a wonderful bitter edge. It goes down easy and finishes clean with a lingering hop taste. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a good APA. It's nothing too crazy, but it has a solid malt core and a healthy dose of hops; a good drinker.
