A-Black in the glass one finger white head. Some lacing.
S-Odd burnt malt not much oatmeal, really not much of anything.
T-Mainly this odd burnt/roasted malt. Some dark chocolate. But really the burnt malt that is off dominates.
M-Medium to heavy in body, not creamy like an oatmeal stout should be.
O-A swing and a miss by Horseheads. Maybe with the age on it ruined the beer but

Poured from a growler in to a snifter.
A- Deep black body with one inch of foamy medium brown head that settles to about a half finger. Minimal lacing.
S- Mostly oatmeal with some roasty malts and a faint sweetness.
T- Pretty consistent with the nose. Nothing outstanding, but great for an oatmeal fix. Good balance of malty, coffee, and oatmeal flavors. The alcohol is noticeable, but not off-putting.
M- Medium bodied, and lighter than expected. Nice carbonation.
O- Above average imperial stout, but not great. I'll be happy drinking another.
