A half finger of head on a brown/amber body. Good lacing.
The aroma is nutty with toasted malt. Nice.
The flavor is roasted malt with a moderate bitterness from the middle to end.
It is smooth with moderate carbonation and medium body.
A fairly standard brown ale with an interesting kick of bitterness in the taste.

Clear, slightly hazy dark reddish honey color body with thin tan head that left some lacing. Lightly malty aroma with a hint of earth. The flavor is pleasant, light malt and just a little bitterness. Clean aftertaste, but a little weak on flavor overall. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very drinkable, especially with food if you want something a little richer than a light lager but don't want the hoppiness of a pale or ipa.

This is a disappointingly bland and watery take on the standard American style of brown ale. The alhouse says that this is supposed to be an English-style mild but it lacks the flavour and overal style of such beers in my experience and the basic character seems much more like the typical US brown ale, but made more bland and thin.
Dark brown, slightly reddish, it has a small white head that dissipates promptly to a small ring and leaves no lace.
The aroma is decent but very simple and weak. It is basically just very mild, toasted caramelly grain and a hint of chocolate.
The taste is also very mild and thin. It's primarily a weak taste of lightly burnt malt and grain with weak hints of caramel and chocolate. It has a light burnt-bitterness and almost no sweetness at all, the thin bitterness riding a watery body. The taste is entirely up front asid from a slightly burnt grain taste in the finish. It at least does not have an pleasantly strong bitter or burnt taste as with some brown ales having similar type of character, but that seems to be only because it's so weak and bland that it lacks almost any character.
