Thank you Eric for the beer. I call it an even trade when I get some brew for servicing a bike. Cheers!
A - A cloudy and murky tan body with a white head of lass than a half inch maintains nicely.
S - Banana and the fine aroma of a wheat brew fill my nose.
T - Banana and a mere hint of clove make for a rather simple weizenbock flavor. While not at all bad, I have to say I was expecting a bit more.
M - Soft and easy to put away my friends. This is an easily consumed beverage. The feel is by far its best characteristic.
~ I was hoping for a bit more out of this beer. It seems it may be one of those beers that while it fits the style category, it was brewed with an audience in mind of those who are interested in simple and less abrassive flavors.

I am going to assume this is the same as what was labeled as a dunkel weizenbock on the menu at the old fashioned in Madison.
Served in a shaker glass with an eighth inch of head :( Hazy amber brown in color with a little bit of haze. Off white head lasted a while for how little there was and no lacing, probably improperly cleaned glassware, as the wheat in this should promote head and lacing retention.
Aroma is muted, but I am in a bar near the kitchen. What little I can discern is wonderfully estery with lots of banana and a little apricot and fig. A bit phenolic with a bandaid-sterile smell, but it blends well and is not unpleasant. Probably quite warm fermented. A little bit of lemon is present, maybe hops, maybe yeast. Once I swirl up the half glass I half left and stick my nose in it, these scents really come out.
Very flavorful, lots of caramel malt, lots of yeast derived flavors. Very slightly tart. Mostly I taste banana and fig again but some crisp apple sneaks it's way in as well. A little yeast funk keeps things interesting.
A full body with nice moderate carbonation and a good tongue coating sweetness that thankfully doesn't linger make this a truely enjoyable brew on the tongue.
I couldn't session this, it probably is quite hangover inducing, but if I didn't have 29 other draughts at my disposal, there would be no hesitation in ordering another one or three.

A: Cloudy amber. Decent head, some nice lacing.
S: Big clove/bananna. Some roasted malts
T: Follows nose, plus, some very sweet malts. Very faint hop backround.
M: Medium feel, clean finish, with a bit of candy left on tongue.
D: Very drinkable. Not sure of ABV, but this beer will hold up with many Weizenbocks, both domestic, and German. Nicely done, guys.
