Brewery notes: ABV: 5.8%, IBU: 14 Our inaugural brew! The unique malt character in this beer transcends mere flavor and aroma, it's the very essence of our Oktoberfest! Taste the award winning combination between hops and malt.- Prosit!
My Notes: tested from 16 oz cans
Look: clear bright dark gold. Tall head that leaves plenty of lacing
Smell: Bread slightly sweet
Taste: sweet bread at first, micro amount of caramel. Then hop spice that is hard to describe, Floral, lemon, grassy. Just barely sweet but does have it's bitter elements. Light duty beer that is easy to drink.
Feel: ok for the style
i would call this one a hybrid between marzen and fest styles. or slightly leaning towards a fest style. does have a german pilsner element side to it

This is a very good Oktoberfest beer, it is very true to style. This is my measuring stick for all Oktoberfest beers. Nothing American has beaten it yet.

True to German style. Copper color. A balanced hint of Czech floral hops. Very easy drinkability. Quite possibly the best Oktoberfest I have had outside of Germany!

Drank fro 16oz can as no glass was available. Aromas of Vienna malts, yeasty bread, light spicy hops. The flavor is lightly sweet, bready malts up front and through the middle with a pleasant lightly spicy hop character that lingers to the aftertaste with some very mild citrus notes. It is pretty smooth and drier than many other American versions. This one is more true to the German style and I like it better than the reviews would indicate. Compare it to a Vienna lager.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass. It pours a clear copper forming a 1/8 inch off-white head that reduces leaving almost no lacing. Carbonation is readily visible.
The aroma is a bit silent. There is a uniquely sweet but almost earthy hops scent and kind of yeasty.
The taste is solid with a sweet caramel malt the punches through an earthy hops taste. There is again a yeast component as well.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and an adequate level of carbonation that seems to fall out. Minimally bitter, but fairly balanced.
Overall, this beer is good and easy to drink. There is room for each individual component to improve, but that also makes it more drinkable.

Sampled at the brewery tap room in a standard pint glass.
The color is golden with decent clarity and a moderate head. The aroma is tame but is bready and biscuity. The flavor includes a semi sweet malt, some hops flavor and bitterness and a touch of yeast. It's got a moderate consistency and carbonation.
This is a pretty good beer that's very easy to drink.
