medium amber in color with thin white head
got a cold.. sorry not picking up too much smell wise
taste and feel is very good! not to heavy not to light
a refreshing beer a liquor rep gave me :) will revisit for sure!

22 oz bottle poured into a tall glass
A. It is a dark golden color with a fingers worth of head which stayed for awhile.
S. I can detect a little hop in the flavor and it smells veryy promising with some sweet citrus fruit kinda lemon peel standing out the most..
T. It does not taste like it smells. It starts with just a touch of hops and I mean very little and then it turns sweet until it finishes with some wet grass.
M. A thin to medium mouthfeel.
O. It is very easy drinking but contains very little hop flavor and is just a pretty average amber ale.

A - Lookin' good! Steady carbonation rises through the clear amber beer towards the tightly packed dry sand-colored head. Good retention isn't surprising as the foam is being constantly fed and nice delicate lace remains left on the pint.
S - Hop Worthy has a muted malt-forward nose consisting of subtly sweet caramel and bready Munich as well as a dry toast note. There's an odd musty undertone that doesn't sit right though, and hops are almost absent. A swirl brings forward some herbal and plastic hop notes though which certainly doesn't help do the name justice.
T - Without a doubt a giant step in the right direction, the flavor departs from the nose considerably, still focusing on the malt but incorporating much more hoppiness, and thankfully avoiding off flavors. Munich breadiness, toasted amber, and a touch of caramel sweetness overlap the light citrus and herbal tones the hops offer.
M - Hop additions start doing the beer more justice in body when bitterness is considered. Great balance between the malt and hoppiness is pronounced ending the medium bodied beer with a dry, bitter-leaning finish.
O - Hop Worthy is a rather misleading title for this beer as it doesn't showcase hops in the aroma or flavor. This run-of-the-mill amber lager features no surprises but also doesn't go to any lengths to offend. Drinkable, local, ok.
