Copenhagen 26/10 2020. 50 cl bottle from Skagen Bryghus. Sandy colored version of Skagens's usual design with the 16-pronged white star on red background.
Pours unclear amber with a small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet odor of malts. Caramel, cardboard and bread. Light notes of roasted barley and spicy rye .
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a touch of rye. Lingers for a bit. Sweet and malty finish.
As they call it a Whole-grain beer it is very much on the malty side. Quite alike to other of Skagen's multi-malt beers.
