“End, Begin” is the great conjunction of French saison yeast, dark malts, and Szechuan peppercorns. The subtle roast and big, dark chocolate flavors are balanced with a dry, lemony lightness from the yeast and a slight, earthy spiciness from the Szechuan peppercorns. It is an alignment that only happens once every thousand years and has the ability to bring about great change. This beer is best enjoyed in the sacred chamber, under the converging light of the three suns.

Copenhagen 19/6 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Very 1970 style colorful cubistic label with a comic poem about Aughra, the Dark Crystal.
Pours opaque dark brown with light beige head. Settles as 2 cm thick solid layer of foam. Not much lacing.
Aroma is fruity and very sour. Citrus, grape fruit, unripe gooseberries and light earthy odor.
Strong carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is medium sweet - quite surprising due to the aroma - followed by slightly stronger sourness. Aftertaste is medium bitter.
A Saison a bit on the sweet side. But a fine distraction on a summer day - even one that only has one sun and not the three announced on the back of the bottle.
