375ml bottle from Brewdog.com £10):
Very strong stuff & definitely a beer that's faded since it was brewed just over four years ago but it was boozy & warming that there was still enough of the flavour showing to make it interesting. Early on I got some nice chocolate sweetness alongside the alcohol grain & there was some vanilla showing followed by some faintly bitter coffee but overall it was a pleasant enough beer to sip away at & well worth trying, although I should probably have drank it a year or two ago.

Purple black with no head. 3.75
Black grape, coffee, and lots of warm barrel. 4
Giant licorice and prune, sultana, some coffee bean, a hint of vanilla, some beef jerky and some wood. 4.25
Tar finish and Marmite linger.
Unctuous, chewy, full. 4
Low fizz makes for a huge body, and time has smoothed out the coffee. A bit too much - needs some hops or some wood to cut all the malts. But considerable. 4.25
