The beer was lightly hazy amber with an off-white lasting head which laced the glass.

The aroma was corny caramel with a light bit of spice and a low chocolate character. The aroma was also fruity, but chocolate and caramel were the most prevalent aromas.

The flavor was lightly corny, but mostly bitter. The bittering was very high with a lightly notable chocolate and caramel lasting long in the flavor.

The finish was dry with a lasting bittering into the aftertaste. Teh body was medium with a fairly high carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. The beer was not very well balanced, it was overly bittering and had a bit of diacetyl in the flavor. Very close to being an APA but very, very bitter.

Bottle at Bruxellensis. Labeled as Bière de Japonaise and served by an Asian fellow.
