An older bottle from 2018.
golden color and 4F head in a Orval chalice.
The aroma is not strong some Brett, no maple sugar. Perhaps the best by date of January 2020 is relevant here.
Heavy Brett taste.
Good beer but probably past it’s expiration date.

Bottle from John's Marketplace.
Gushing, this beer is orange with a large off white head that has excellent retention and leaves nice lacing. The 1 year in the bottle has given this beer a lot of Brett character.Pineapple, clove and a little plastic are present. Along with this is a blend of light orange, honey, a little pepper and with the power of suggestion, maple. The palate opens with a lot of Brett character could with a mild sweetness from the base tripel. Clove, pineapple, a hint of plastic blend well with honey, orange blossom and a nice blend of white pepper, grains of paradise and nutmeg. The mid palate has more juicy orange that pairs nicely with the pineapple notes. Mildly sweet on the finish, this beer is medium in body and highly carbonated yielding an incredibly creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden, though it is faintly noticeable. A mild grainy bitterness is present as well. Quite excellent.

lighter hay wheat color blonde. fluffy white head like an Orvale. Nose is phunky as phuque- all brett and a slight lemony tinge. Tastes like a propper belgian with a dry brett “finish” but the actual lasting flavor is very mild sweetness- brown sugsry/ maple yum yum. Has that Tripel vibe regarding the body. Tons of carb. Overall a really unique and special beer. Sad its a limited run. RIP.

According to the label on this 11.2 oz. bottle it's "a collab with our friends of Novare Riot on December 4, 2017."
Gentle pour yields a 3/4 inch creamy white head over a slightly hazy, golden body with sheets of lacing. Sheets are still present 20 minutes later. Nose of brett funk and slight maple. Taste of the same with the funk and the sweetness complimenting each other. Abv is definitely 10%. Nice feel and overall a real nice tripel and will definitely have again. Cheers!

You don't want to open the bottle at room temperature. A major gusher.
It looks a hazy medium gold, plenty of foam, surprisingly, good lacing.
Brett horseblanket is all powerful. Also smells somewhat dry hopped but that takes a backseat.
Taste, again, is major Brett, huge, hoppy in a dry hopped way. Wow. The 2 flavours completely distract you from the more than ample abv.
The flavours work so well together in this somewhat light mouthfeel.
A Tripel that's Brett forward. Works for me.

epic beer right here, a variant on their awesome tripel, this one done with maple sugar and brett, what more could i possibly ask for?! this is everything i love in a single little bottle of fairly priced beer. so glad to see de la senne getting some real attention, they have deserved it since day one in my experience. this was brewed for the famed novare res, a neat homage for sure. its hazy and straw colored and with two inches of thick pure white lasting head on it, looks belgian proper, and has a crazy iodine medicinal funk to it, overly bretty but in a good way against the sweetness of the base beer, just awesome! i dont get quite as much maple as i thought i might, despite this still being a bit sweet, i think a lot of it has fermented out, which is fine, there is a finishing maple note with all the hospital tasting brett that really works. i love how funky this is, the brett even rising in front of the belgian ale yeast, some green pear and chardonnay notes to that, but more funk than belgian by a mile. the booziness is well hidden even as it warms up, and the maple element lingers, which i appreciate, thats where i taste it most. wild funkiness here, super mature, and just really clever and dialed in beer overall. these guys continue to impress me ever single time i find one of their beers. becoming one of my favorite breweries anywhere! this is amazing, especially for the price!
