Bottle from Pistolet Galeries. Best by 19 Nov 2019.
A lightly hazy straw yellow with a dense, white head with great retention and lacing, this looks great. Similar to the original but with a seemingly sharper and slightly fruitier hop character, this is excellent. Clean, snappy straw like malt on which a blend of lemon, earth, a little but of semi ripe peach and slightly mineral grape note are present. The sharpness of the hops is enhanced by the noticeably mineral content in the water. The palate opens with quite a bit of bitterness, a little resiny with a lot of bite. Raw fruit, lemon, earth and with mineral notes prominent, this light beer is anything but. Straw, a little honey and some grain are noticeable. The mid palate does seem to be a little lighter in this version, though. Straw, earth and a prominent bitterness linger on in the finish. Light in body and moderately carbonated,
This is creamy, snappy and bitter on the palate. Fresh, this beer is such a beast. Delicious, I'd love to try this side by side with the original.
