Served on tap in a tulip glass
Appearance-The beer is served a hazed orange color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather fast to leave a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is sweet and spicy with the sweet being mainly of a fruity nature and the spice being strong of clove and a bit of coriander. A nice showing of a yeasty and flowery hop smell as well as a little bit of a bready smell are there as well, producing a very inviting smell overall.
Taste- The taste begins as the nose would have suggested with a good showing of fruit and a lighter level of a spice with the fruit being of a lighter variety with orange, apricot, and peach. As the flavor advances more spice and a good showing of yeast comes to the tongue really bringing on the more saison like flavors to the brew. A little bit of grass and a decently strong floral flavor develop later at the end, leaving one with a nice crisp and clean saison flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. For the style it is fantastic and matches the blend of yeast, fruit and spice very nicely.
Overall – This was really quite tasty and very drinkable saison. Crisp, refreshing, and flavorful. A fantastic one to try if you get a chance.

apparently back on at carters. a throwback this one is. pours slightly cloudy pale golden color with a jivey white head. the nose is very very floral. it isnt lavender, but its equally potent, pollenated, and aromatic. some interesting yeast also emits some interesting notes. the flavor is floral first, this must be made with some meadow flowers. theres a saison wild yeast type funk in the middle, and some kind of goldings hop finish. its a very well balanced beer, featuring some flavors you dont see too much of anymore. the mouthfeel is lovely, delicate flavors, medium body, rocking carbonation. this beer was a joy to drink, one of my favorites at carters.

A: Pours a cloudy golden color. At first a two finger white head forms, but recedes in an instant. Light lace is left behind.
S: Funky barnyard aromas come out first. Sweet and pale malts with some candy fruit aromas. A light spicy clove aroma as well.
T: This is great. sweet and pale malts with some candy flavors that follow the nose. Some funky barnyard flavors linger on.
M/D: A full body with medium carbonation. Just enough snap to make this very refreshing. Very smooth and easy to drink.
This is not the Saison De Carter, but another Farmhouse Ale that is great. This is a must try.
