Amber colored with a thin white head that is quick to collar. Thin skim of retention hangs around for awhile.
Fruity esters are all over this one and a dominant apple juice aroma trounces any toasted or caramel flavors that I was hoping for. Tastes better than it smells. Light doughy malt with a little dark bread in back, steely Norther Brewer hop, and of course more apple juice.

Appearance: nice deep rich amber color with a one finger head that lasts a bit. Some spots of lace develop.
Smell: nice amount of fruity sweetness and caramel candy easily rise from the glass into the nose.
Taste: well balanced beer as the caramel, red apples, sweet red grapes, and a nice bitterness makes up a solid flavor profile. Nice maltiness here.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Smooth from start to finish and a bit dry late. Aftertaste is long as the flavors linger softly on the tongue.
Drinkability: the best of the beers I had at the brewpub over my two stops to and from Arizona. Solid offering here.
