From can. As a big pie & Pumpkin beer fan I'm sucker for these things. Hoping the word "pie" in the name would mean a graham cracker crust. Alas. it was not.
The aroma was on point. the texture was not.
In the end. I guess to get the whole package I need to put on an apron & get busy. Maybe some bourbon will help the pumpkin 'blossom'.

So the version my brother brought to Thanksgiving calls itself a "Slice of Pumpkin Pie Ale" Decent head atop dull clay brown color. Nose is heavy on the spice but less so the hops and malt.
The name is for real. This beer goes heavy on the traditional cinnamon, clove, allspice, and nutmeg. Solid caramel malt backbone assists. Texture is smooth and unassuming. This not one of the very best pumpkin beers but it is solid if you really like pumpkin spice and favor without too much booze or any other bells and whistles.

12oz can from Noble Grains NYC on the UES
Pours a hazy dark amber with light tan head and minor lacing, smells like a slice of pumpkin pie, sweetened roasted pumpkin, pumpkin spice, and toasted graham cracker crust, taste is mild pumpkin puree, cinnamon, ginger, finishes with lightly toasted malts, very light, decent carbonation, finishes dry. A light and refreshing brew, pretty close to slice of pumpkin pie in a glass.

On tap at Tribeca Tavern, NYC.
This is the best pumpkin beer I've had.
Usually, pumpkin beers make the mistake of being either too gourd-heavy or spice-heavy.
This beer literally tastes like someone distilled pumpkin pie, and infused it in the beer.
It's slightly creamy, with a thinner body than I would have expected. Extremely drinkable...three pints-worth, to be exact.
Had to enjoy it, as I knew I might never have it again, as Chelsea doesn't distribute to my state.
Possibly the best flavored/fruit/vegetable beer I've had.

A: The beer is hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down leaving lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of pumpkin pie in the nose. Nutmeg really stands out in particular; there are also some hints of cinnamon.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and has flavors of pumpkin pie along with some hints of sweetness.
M: It feels light-bodied and a little thin and watery on the palate and has some hints of sweetness.
O: This beer definitely lives up to its name and delivers lots of aromas and flavors of pumpkin pie. The only drawback is the thin and watery mouthfeel.
