Pours a medium brown against my review screen, and a deep ruby against my incandescent lamp. A 2 1'2 finger light tan head recedes leaving moderate lacing.
Aroma is doughy with toasted nuts. Caramel and dried fruit.
Taste is sweet burnt malt, then bitter chocolate as it settles down. A bit of nutty caramel.
Medium in body with some drying astringency.
My favorite of the 3 Shooting Creek brews picked up by Blue Mountain Barrel House after Shooting Creek went out of business. A good fall beer. I'll try it again.
