There is an "ENJOY BY" date but unfortunately it was marked out by the retailer (the month) but the rest appears as "18-22"

Appearance: The body is black. It requires an overly vigorous pour to form a short, light tan head. the head is mostly featureless with a few bubble spots. It slowly fades to nothing. There is some spotty head retention.

Aroma: It has an aroma of cinnamon and wood when first approached. Cinnamon is the strongest scent and it is pleasant. It smells a lot like a cinnamon roll, sans the roll.

Taste: Cinnamon comes through at first, then there is a light toasty flavor. It tastes just like a cinnamon roll.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a nice mellow bitterness and a smooth texture. Very easy to drink and pleasant. Good carbonation.

Overall: The bottle states that this is a "BARREL-AGED WINTER STOUT." There is no barrel character at all. There is a ton of cinnamon flavor, which both smells and tastes amazing, but there is nothing "barrel-like" to accompany it. I would recommend it for the cinnamon, but not for the barrel. I could drink it again when I'm feeling like something with a bit of kick that tastes like a cinnamon roll. Of note, the label states that this is "10% ALC. BY VOL."

Pours a jet black color with a dark, chocolate brown head about a finger thick that fades to a ring about the rim of the glass. Smell is sweet spices, cinnamon predominant, cardamom, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste follows, first notes of cinnamon, then bringing in light bourbon, vanilla, cardamom, and slowly transitions into a milk chocolate flavor. Hint of chile towards the end, a little bit of boozy alcohol towards the end. Lingering finish of chocolate. Medium body, actually a little thinner than I expected. Overall, I think it hits the mark of what it's advertised as, similar to a snow day hot chocolate with some spices to it. The cinnamon is nice, the chile is pretty faint but there. Pleasant cold day sipper.

The spices are so dominant I think some time to mellow may be good. Also hoping the chili heat shows up a bit more in package than it was on draft. Very tasty, but not my favorite variant I've had
