Poured from 750 mL bottle into tulip.
A: Pours a thick black with 2-3 inches of amazing frothy super dark mocha head with excellent retention. Leaves behind thick lacing on the glass.
S: Smooth dark chocolate, citrus peel, herbal vermouth, dry cocoa, sweet bourbon, medium roast coffee, and a strong backbone of toasted malt. Potent stuff!
T: Dry cocoa, smooth dark chocolate, soft citrus peel, sweet bourbon, vermouth, dark roast coffee, and with warming subtle spice and sherry notes emerge. Definitely let this warm and open up.
M: Medium heavy body. Very smooth and velvety feel. Layers of dark sweetness with more subtle fruit sweetness. Mildly dry throughout. Touch of spice. ABV is extremely well hidden. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: Just a lovely beer! Super complex and extremely well constructed. Savor this as an excellent winter sipper.
