Thin whitish head, dark ruby body-- like cola.
Nose is malty, cherry cola, some plum.
Taste is cola-ish too-- maltier, slightly more bitter. Some steely hops balance it out.
Carbonation isn't overly evident, but mouthfeel is nice and smooth.
Decent, sessionable dark beer.

Served in a pint glass at Brixx in Charlottesville. From notes.
A: Quite dark; gorgeous, clear red in the light. No head.
S: Malty-sweet fruit. Vague bitterness.
T: It's actually really tasty! Round, fruity, and almost porter-ish. Light chocolatesque bitterness at the end. Very drinkable and quenching.
M: Round and smooth, with a tad of carbonation. Pleasing.
O: Surprisingly good; I generally don't like summer seasonals. A fruity-tart dark ale. Recommended.
