22oz bottle poured into a large mug. No bottle codes or dates that I can find.

Pours cloudy orange-amber with a smallish pale head, long retention. Smell is generically hoppy, lots of straw. Something very citrusy in the smell.

Taste is mild (and I need to remember this is a single IPA). More of what I'm calling a straw flavor. A little lemon rind bitterness, but not much. Some bready characteristic. It's good, just mild. I might place this more in the Pale Ale category.

Mouthfeel is nice, airy and pleasing. Overall, it's pretty good.

From 22 oz bomber to pint glass

Perfect copper-tan appearance, clear, a gentle pour yield a small, sticky head that laces wherever it touches. Floral, centennial hops lead the bouquet, yielding a distinctly tea-like smell. Freshly pressed grains and husky malts round the bouquet. The flavors are even more tea-like, showcasing the exclusive use of centennial hops. Nicely framed by its malt-backbone, the floral, orange-tea-like hops are balanced by honey sweetness and a pastry backdrop.

This is a great example of a single-hopped IPA. By isolating centennial, you can really taste the "Northwest" hop aspects of a Northwest style IPA.

On draught At the Orenco Taphouse, appearance is burnt gold with a small white collar, light lace.

Smell is nice, some lime, which I find odd for Centennials, some pine resin though.

Taste is more pine, as expected, some bready malt as well.

Mouthfeel is sharply crisp, oily, medium bodied.

Drinkability is solid , a good single-hop IPA. I'm pleasantly surprise by the lime notes.

Poured into a Chuckanut pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of piney, lightly citrus hops with herbal hints, light biscuit malt. Flavor follows with piney hops and lighter citrus and herbal notes. Light bready and biscuit malt gives good support but stays in the background to put the hop flavors on display. Light to medium bodied. The hops are more subdued in the flavor than in the aroma, which is itself not intense, but like the other ales in this series, the neutral malt body and light flavors allow savoring the single hop flavors without immediate taste burn out. This centennial is my favorite hop so far in the series; I like the piney, gently herbal flavors. Not an intense hop monster, but does its job of presenting the hops well.
