Walking a fine line of sweet malt and assertive hop character. A hop presence so enticing it truly is a work of art.

Another Coast Brewing brew, thanks Chris.
This bottle was brewed on 12.17.09 I find the labels this brewery affixes to their bottles to be fantastic. This particular bottle is very Andy Warholesque. Colorful pop art in the name of hops, come on!
A: The body of this beer is so full murky the light hardly shines through despite it not being of a dark color. Dark Orange in the center with accents that shine on the outside of the pint glass. The head was not huge, but enough carbonatiion and I'd hope so with a beer this fresh, a moon-like cratered surface remains. Lacing better than the Kölsch as well.
S: Malty sweetness, primarily resiny hops, a touch of grapefruit, alcohol not so noticable.
T: Delicious AIPA with a malt bill that does a good job of masking some of the alcohol on the tongue. Up front this beer is where the resiny hops are most noticeable in flavor. This resin is followed by a tangerine like earthy sweetness that comes to a nice sharp peak before fading into tongue numbing bitterness. Not a giantly hopped tearjerking IPA, but throw in the resiny and very earthy with the right malt...I can't complain.
M: The beer is medium bodies with enough carbonation to billow if you hold in on the palate. Really coats the mouth for a brief period without get annoying.
D: I want to keep drinking this beer, beautiful looking beer and bottle makes the presentation look impressive. The flavor and mouthfeel are not lacking either. This may be the best "organic" beer I've tasted, but I wish the ABV was at a solid 6%...then I guess there is the problem of obtaining it again. Solid brew, respect the south ya'll.

Pours a deep honey color with a super fluffy white head that left rocky webby lacing on the glass.
Nice bud weed aroma. Super floral. 'Nough said
Bud in the flavor. A touch of pine and resin. Malt is rather thin; light toasted bread.
Light on the palate. Semi-soft carbonation. Good balance with a light hoppy finish.
Nice hoppy notes but it is a bit thin.

S- Smells like a beer
T- Hint of bitter hops, sweetness from the malt
M- Medium body with light carbonation for an IPA
O- A great IPA, usually not a fan of IPA but its overall of the better ones I've had so far. Nice ABV percentage to go with it
