Big off white head, maybe a light tan head settles to a quarter inch or more of frothy foam covering a clear bright golden colored beer that seems to have a touch of copper within it.

Light caramel malts mixed with light fruits like grapefruit and lime and to a lesser dergee some light pine sneaks in the aroma of this Supermonk.

Decent plend of l;ight caramel malts and citrus style hops make for a pretty tasty beer.

A dry aftertaste that brings along some of the light caramel notes and lighter citrus style hops tagging along with this medium bodied beer.

A decent tasting drink, I think I'll have another.

Poured a beautiful clear amber with a thin, yet fluffy head, reminiscent of a witbier. Quite nice to look at. Scents of grapefruit pith, pine and some fruity esters. A good IPA nose, with a bit of an estery, Belgian air. Quite nice. Flavors of grapefruit pith, grapefruit, pine resin, some Belgian yeast funk, citrus peel, some slight sweet malt backbone and a nice wheat cracker finish with a bitter hop aftertaste. Quite a nice bit of IPA flavor, with a little bit of that Belgian yeast character adding some depth to the American IPA flavors. Mouthfeel was lightbodied with moderate carbonation and a slick finish. Easy to drink, and surprisingly sessionable. Overall this is a very good beer. It's got the nice American IPA flavors but with a slight undercurrent of Belgian yeast. It's not as overt a Belgian IPA as say, Rayon Vert or Chainbreaker, but just enough to give it a nice complexity. Give it a try.

Initial review was done 10-11-2013 without narrative with all rating elements scoring a 4. Recall buying a 6 pack from TW Arrowhead. Could be that BA lost the review as they had issues on and off with losing the BA database.

2nd review 5-23-20.
Picked up a 32 oz crowler at the Uptown restaurant location today for $9.50.

Beer poured golden orange with a pretty nice white head with the original pour.

Nose has Belgian yeast elements with notes of euro malts, lemon, and gooseberry.

Taste is very Belgian wit meets an ipa like. Lighter euro malt base is met with lemon and orange tinged hops. Finishes with a nice coriander white pepper and rind bitterness; 8/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and refreshing.

Overall i still like this beer, glad it was available today.
