Growler from Belmont Station.

A very dark brown, mildly hazy, with a dense, light-brown head with excellent lacing and retention, this is particularly gorgeous. The nose is a beautiful balance of firm, earthy hops, a noticeable rye character, dark wheat, a little bit of burnt sugar and toast. Beautiful balance here. The palate opens creamy with the rye adding heft and slickness to the palate, the hops adding a firming bitterness, mildly minty and earthy. The hops are also ridiculously clean on the palate. The mid-palate has grain with the rye being more like a grainy rye bread rather than the spicier rye flavors from other rye beers I've had. Complemented very nicely by the burnt sugar that adds a pleasant bitterness they works really nicely with the flavor of the rye and it's silky palate. Drying on the finish with a beautiful creamy palate, this beer off medium light in body with hops and malt in wonderful harmony. The only downside is the mid finish where it's a little thin. Exceptional.
