16oz can served in a tulip. Dated 03/18/22. Picked it up last weekend at Bottleworks.
Pours a hazy light amber. Medium sized head that turns into a fairly even skin with a few lumpy islands. Moderate to light active carbonation. Smell is light, grainy, nutty, slightly floral.
Taste is much more intense than the aroma. In your face grains, lots of grassy bitterness, more toned down nuttiness, and the floral note is louder but still in the background. Bitterness and nuttiness build together, and actually enhance the sweetness a bit as I keep sipping.
Mouthfeel is medium to light. Overall, this is a very nice beer.

Lighter amber colored opaque brew with a decent white head, this beer looks nice. Sweet malt prominent with some caramel and bready notes behind. Taste is much less sweet but does start that way with spice and finishes on the bitter side. This is decent actually but the bitter element is a bit sticky. Good body and decent carbonation for the style.

Cloudy orange body with two fingers of foam and good lacing. Nose hits the grainy bread and botanical spices well, light caramel malt backs them up. Great tastings zwickel: rustic bread meets caramel malt to build the botanical spices, grass and flowers on, some dough, earthy hops and cracker round out. Feel has a bigger and slightly sweeter malt feel for the style, but the botanical and bready textures are very expressive. Really pleasant on a hot day!

16 oz. can. Clear amber. Smells of caramel and brown bread. Tastes of fresh herbal hops and light spice before caramel and breast malts take over. Bitter finish. Slick mouth feel with low carbonation, but still light. Nice malty lager with a pleasant bitter finish.

I’m not too well versed on the Zwickel game... It’s like asking Van Gogh to do chemistry, ya feel me? Anyway, it’s all right and good, and good and all right. Looks like a beer, smells like a beer, and consarnit, it tastes like a beer! But nah, for reals doe, it’s all good from Diego to the hood. Just a nice Amber style Ale right down the line.
Yep!

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Affligem goblet. It doesn't even look unfiltered, but I'm not complaining. Heater Allen describes it as an Amber Lager, which is quite descriptive. Warm, toasty flavor. Aroma of grain with a hint of nuts. Roasted malt is nice. This does seem a bit sweet, though.
Faint hoppy note is almost enough to balance. This is one beer that's better on the colder side. Quite interesting and certainly more flavorful than many Lagers, though less hoppy than the Pilsners. Clean and quaffable with a dark aftertaste. From the 16 oz can purchased in southern California.

Slightly cloudy medium golden copper body, one finger white head. Damn, that is a nice expression of malt. Touch of caramel, even a slight spice to it. Nice floral hop bite, crisp carbonation. Medium lighter in body. Delicious drink, that.

Look: Semi-opaque light amber in color with a big but quickly settling head that is clinging to the glass
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, a little dough, some toffee, floral, grassy, and earthy hop notes, and malt sweetness
Taste: Doughy bread jumps onto the scene, followed quickly by a nice, big earthy/grassy/floral hop punch. Some toffee-like notes and more sweet malt round things out and again, hoppy on the finish. A slight tongue-prickling bite and some mild dryness as well
Mouthfeel: Full bodied but very clean throughout and extremely crisp on the finish from both the lager fermentation and the slight dryness and hop bite
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. One of the more obscure styles I’m into and was pumped when I heard my favorite lager brewery had made one. Well done through and through and more hop presence than others I’ve had but it was welcome, wasn’t overdone, and meshed nicely. A very tasty Zwickelbier. Prost!
