Very dark brown with minimal foam in the wine glass. Rich and tangy with a burnt sugar finish. Dark roasted malt aroma. Rather sweet but balanced somewhat by the hops. Dark and herbal, even dank notes. Flavors of raisins and bitter chocolate. Overall this is a classic Baltic Porter that satisfies like an Imperial Stout but drinks in a mellower vein. From the 16 oz can dated 11/13/23. The dog on my can looks different from the photo.

poured from a 16oz can into a FFF DLD nonic pint glass. pours a silky black with two fingers of mocha brown foam. roasted coffee and light chocolate on the nose. there’s a hint of dark bread to it as well. taste mostly follows with a slightly bitter finish. kind of a mix between roasty day old coffee and rye bread. it’s tasty though. full, silky smooth mouthfeel. delicious beer. doesn’t really drink like the nearly 8% abv (can says 7.8%). perfect for a winter evening but i’d drink this any day / any time.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, rough pour yields a two finger fluffy beige head, which settles out to a filmy tan covering, ring around the glass, lacing. Beautiful so far Aroma is chocolate, licorice, roasty malts, woody, sweet. Taste is woody, roasty, chocolate, licorice subsides a bit, sweet but not overly so. Creamy feel, nice heft. So damn good...

From Good Times Oakland, canned November 13th 2023.
It pours black but not pitch black, small off white head of foam that disappears quickly, no lacing.
The smell is roasted malt, dark chocolate, hint of coffee, chocolate of the sweeter kind.
The taste is roasted malt, has some nutty notes, toffee, dark chocolate, pretty well balanced between bitter and sweet.
Mouthfeel is okay; not much carbonation here but not flat.
Super delicious Baltic Porter.
