This beer’s name translates to “old school” in German. Clever touch.
It pours a caramel amber color. The beer has a mild roasty aroma with a green hop note to it. I find the flavor has a pleasing caramel sweetness to it. It’s piney and green, with a sticky, light resin on the finish. As the alt warms a slight biscuit note emerges. More like a toasted hint just under the malt. It’s a tasty alt.
