Not so much a taproom as opening a door to the brewery and using an overhang. Put a few chairs and tables out. Simple, but effective. Two blocks from the West Oakland BART stop in a warehouse district that is coming back. Worth seeking out. (If you appreciate trains, as I do, California Amtrak's Capitol Corridor goes next to the brewery.)
It was easy to like this place. It was a sunny Sunday afternoon after a bike ride. I had a flight of six (fortunately 3 ounce pours) that I shared with a non-beer drinking friend... and could regale him with my limited beer knowledge. The beer quality was good for a young brewery which, of course, is unlikely to make six styles well. The O-fest was particularly malty/sweet and easy for my friend to drink.

Stopped in here because I wanted to hit at least one brewery in Oakland while I was in town. The vibe was decent, The selection wasn't too bad, just some simple beers on tap. Service was pretty good. I guess they've changed their name now to Oakland United Beerworks.

Some of the happiest and down to earth people you would ever want to meet. The reason we come back is for the staff - what a bunch of really wonderful people. You really have to be looking for this place to find it, but when you do the beer is just a little bit above average and the tap room is basically a stand under a overhang. Try it out for yourself.

Basically they open up the garage door to the brewery and set up a folding table with all of their beers available for full pours or flights. Linden St is making beer in the style of 'Old California' breweries (think Anchor Steam but better).
Definitely worth stopping by and trying some of their beers + the food trucks are great.
P.S. Walking distance from West Oakland Bart!

These people are just making beer for the sake of making beer. Very basic and bland brews, no creativity, no passion, no talent.

The guys there were really cool , and loved sharing their knowledge of beer. Free tour on making beer was great. and while your enjoying your flight they came around and offered samplers of other beers they had just tapped.
