Not a fan of Mission or Idaho 7 hops, but a huge fan of Mosaic hops. That was enough for me to have my wife pick it up for me on a recent trip to Costco. Hoping this one surprises me.
Poured a pale-to-gold semi-clear color with four fingers of rocky white head. A few bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent layered foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Lots going on in the first whiff, almost competing to get out. Got tropical fruit punch, passion fruit, sugary citrus, spoiled fruit, hints of caramel candy squares, trashy Mosaic late, wet dank pine and melon. (Smell - 3.50)
Tasted a bit better than the nose, but still similar. Fairly bitter. Also spoiled fruit, caramel candy squares, tropical fruit punch, earthy wet pine, melon, cantaloupe, hints of mango, trashy Mosaic and dank resin. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)
Not a huge fan of this one, probably more the Idaho 7 hops than anything else. Not terrible though, but probably would not have again. (Overall - 3.50)
