Served as a pale golden colored beer with moderate white puffy head. Smell is minimal with a light sweet maltiness. Taste is enjoyable and refreshing, with a pleasnt maltiness present. Very drinkable, very refreshinbg. A notch above other light beers, in that this one has some taste.

Crystal clear, almost watery light in color.
Pilsner nose that is slightly detectable, even in the large bar with no other scents or smoke around.
Light crispness, malty & hops flavors blend evenly.
Extremely quaffable, light bodied easy drinker. Surprising that it's a light beer.

The beer pours a very pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that quickly fades to lacing. The aroma is average. It has a light and refreshing pale malt scent with with a dry lager yeast finish. The taste is good. It has a smooth pale malt flavor with a dry lager yeast finish. It goes down easy and has more character than most light lagers. It is a bit grainy, but it only adds to the flavor. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a fine light lager. It has good flavor; an excellent drinker.

As I was sitting at the Kutztown Tavern just yesterday, sipping on my Old Brick Alt. the bartender comes up to me and asks if I had tried their new brew. I am thinking, "great, the new bock is out!" I was wrong. Apparently the powers that be decided to follow the carb-crunchers and make a "light" version of their Blonde Lager."
This Bier was extremely pale in color and had little, if any head whatsoever. The aroma was amost non-existent, similar to that of Coors Light, except worse, I believe. There seemed to be almost nothing of interest in the nose. The flavor was almost stringent or abrasive. Palate cleansing? Sure. In fact, I think it took the top layer off of my tongue. At about 110 calories per pint and a low ABV, surely this brew appeases some folks who are looking to cut back on some carbs. Me, personally, give me my carbs, my Bier, and the flavors that should be in my Bier.
Note: This Bier's name was just changed to "Tavern Lager."
Zum wohl!.
