A - A darker shade of copper, but it still had some brightness to it...a one finger, white head sat atop the body...it showed decent retention with a full ring...decent lacing was also left...one of the better looking GABCO beers
S - Pretty one dimensional...yup, that's right...apricot...the fruit is powerful and sweet...if you breathe deep enough you can pick up some caramel malt
T - The apricot is pretty powerful in the flavor too, but it's tamed by other things going on...the caramel detected in the nose comes through and adds an extra level of sweetness to pair with the apricots...the middle of the beer provides some lager yeast but it's brief and stands out enough to add another level to the beer
M - Light bodied...crisp and refreshing...comes up thin sometimes and has a metallic flavor
O - GABCO's fruit beers are big with raspberries and blueberries being used a lot so it was nice to see apricots this time...I can say it was better than apricot flavored beers I've had before (Pyramid, Ithaca)...I had three pints on this visit because nothing else intrigued me, but it's not one I would go for regularly
