An À La Fût beer that's new to me? Don't mind if I do! Thanks papat444! Marked Nov. 2012.
Appearance. Pours a pretty clear yellow gold with half a finger of white head.
Smell. Sugary dried fruits like pineapple, apples, and apricots with some light sweet and spicy belgian yeast and a little grainy malt. Good stuff so far.
Taste. Some sweet fruits again, this time more tropical, some bitter hops and fruity belgian yeast.
Mouthfeel. Medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall. One of the nicer Belgian IPAs I've tried. Good stuff.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of candy with some quite intense sweet notes and some light fruity hops notes. Taste is overly sweet with strong candy ester with light fruity tropical hops and light bitter finish. Body is full with good carbonation. Weird beer with hops profile dominated by candy-like ester and overly sweet finish.

Bottle from ZorPrime, thanks Eric! 341ml into a tulip, dated February 2012 - Lot 1. 50 IBUs.
Lightly cloudy orange, poured with the yeast in. Relatively thick white head, and some fairly good retention. Nose is quite yeasty, a good Belgian influence but some breadiness, some light pineapple and passionfruit and lighter fleshed tropical fruits. More white fleshed fruits, some pineapple, nectarine. Quite a bit of yeast flavours as well, drying (slightly parching) finish with a smidgen of spice. A bit of piney floor cleaner as well, which was a bit odd and came through more as the glass warmed. Decent, if slightly light on the mouthfeel. An OK Belgian IPA, but I wasn't thoroughly impressed. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for the style.
