Minimal head and very little lacing. I wasn't convinced it was an amber by looking at it...very light in color.

Tasted more like an american lager than an amber ale.

It was a drinkable beer, in fact quite refreshing (especially after skiing all day). It had a very nice texture on the tongue as well as in the back of the mouth.

Metal Gear? Presented as a lighter shade of amber that is board line golden in color. Great clarity but limited head and next to no lacing to speak of.

The nose was light but some grainy notes. There is a sweeter caramel note that is just detectable. Some minor cardboard notes and not hops to really speak of.

The taste is a bit watery. The caramel comes out a bit more than the nose indicated. Some soft grainy notes on the back end as well. Very pale ale-esk. The oxidation comes out really strongly as well with more of a cardboard presence that hids a lot of other flavors. Not much on hops or and yeast flavors.

The body is light and watery. A high carbonation give it a bit and amplifies the oxidation component. Easy enough to drink, I doubt this beer has much of a ABV.

This one is my least favorite of theirs, but still a solid entry. It arrives pale gold copper with a thin head anc nice lacing. It is very clear. The smell is sweet and floral. Not as much like perfume as that sounds, btw. The taste is dominated by hops up front, followed by a caramel toffee and then an hop finish. Sort of like a hop/toffee oreo, I suppose. The mouthfeel is silky and mildly carbonated. I like a bit more bubble myself but it has enough substance to let you know its serious. The drinkability is good, basically. This is a good entry in a crowded field. Every micro or brewpub is compelled to do an amber, it seems and Wild Creek is right there with them. Good but not great.
