South Street has been purchased by Blue Mountain brewery, and this beer is currently being brewed at Blue Mountain Barrel House in Arrington, VA

Golden orange to coppery in color with an initial 3 finger off white head from a hard pour.. Some light haze, but you can see through it.

Lemonade and Cascade hops on the aroma.

Taste of diluted lemonade. Not much hop presence at all, just some faint bitterness in the end that makes me think of lemon peel, Every now and then, an awesome fruityllemony punch.

Medium bodied with light carbonation. Somewhat drying with a bit of cloy.

For me, the lemonade overpowers the ale. It doesn't really taste like beer to me. I think I would have a liked it better with less sugar (odd since I generally like beer on the sweet side) and with the Cascade kicked up a couple of notches. Still, it's definitely summery and refreshing.

L: slight hazed golden yellow, low carbonation, ¾ finger creamy head.
N: lemonade! Light lemon lime soda, wheat, faint floral/dry citrus Cascade notes, incredibly inviting.
T: really refreshing, smooth lemonade and lemon lime soda flavors, soft oat, wheat, touch of honey.
B: medium to full bodied, very very low carbonation, incredibly oily/wet, refreshing as hell.
Overall: SO drinkable, refreshing, very surprised by this one.

Brief write-up. It's a shandy, so I won't bother with a full review. I'm glad this brewery used a beer with noticeable hopping to counteract the lemonade - after a couple sips, the two primary notes (Cascade-hopped pale and lemonade) actually work decently well together. Apart from lemon, I get a bit of graham cracker, as well as a faintly bitter finish. It's dead simple, but easily preferable to something like a Leinenkugel shandy.

2.98/5: Decent for the style, but know what you're getting
