Served in a 12oz clear glass tumbler.
A: Rusty orange with soild 1-finger bubbly off-white head hanging around nicely and leaving a few thin lines of lacing.
S: Lemon, herbal hops, and steely, mineral maltiness which works well with the citrus notes
T: I really enjoyed this brew, a lot more than I expected, and I hope they brew this in the spring and summer. Dry pale and lightly roasted malts meet a slightly puckering lemon citrus sourness and finished with complex herbal hops. I have had this on two occasions, and the two batches were not quite the same with the second being more sour and the first more malty and rich.
M: Coating but dry in the finish with medium body and citrus and mineral aftertaste.
D: I liked this brew but their decision to serve this in a generic tumbler more fit for an EAS sports drink is curious. Thankfully, this is a delicious beer with a manageable ABV that is one of South Street's best offerings.

South Street Saison, on tap at - you guessed it - South Street. Served in a traditional American pint glass.
Appearance: A hazed orange-bodied brew with a half-finger of fast-fading white head that ultimately leaves no sheen and a really thin collar. Sort of dirty looking. Lacing is runny, streaky, very weak.
Aroma: Banana and spice notes dominate, definitely a hefe yeast strain used here. Subtle and faint, though pleasant.
Taste: Heavily spiced, with cloves and white pepper dominating, along with hints of orange, honey, gummy bear notes, and some other hints of spice - slight cinnamon, perhaps. Unfortunately, there's also soapy, chemical presence that lasts way too long. Nice up front, but doesn't finish well.
Mouthfeel: Well carbonated, with lots of soft, gentle, and even but crisp carbonation. Medium thickness, and slightly sticky, but on the whole pretty nice.
Drinkability: A solid if unexciting brew. It's possible the glass/keg line/something else wasn't clean, and if that's the case, I'd be happy to try this again - a lot of the tasting notes seemed pleasant and stylistically spot on, and the abv% isn't high for the style, so it might definitely rate higher if I just got a bad glass.
