Look: Very light gold/yellow, and I mean very light. Mostly clear with a minimal, quickly dissipating white head.
Smell: Very faint malt/citrus.
Taste: Surprisingly bold for such a light look. I’m not detecting any adjunct, maybe it has some not sure. I do taste Pilsner malt with its honeyish quality, there is a slight sour twang, and it is hopped with American hops that give it the citrus flavor.
Overall I really like it, even more since I got it marked down to $4.99 at Total Wine.
I’m not sure I’d call this a “Mexican” lager, it doesn’t taste like one. Most Mexican beers are styled after German pilsners, Vienna lagers, Munich Helles, or Dunkels. This would come closest to a Pilsner but the American hops throw it off. It still really good just mislabeled.
