Handpump halfpint at the London Drinker festival.
A: Clear pale gold body under a thin white head that leaves some sticky lace. Ok.
S: Wonderfully fresh, fruity hops. Grapefruit, melon, and bright floral notes drift enticingly from the glass. Fantastic.
T: Delicious citrus hops dominate, with some floral and resinous aspects as well. Light but welcome breadiness toward the finish. Cleanly bitter aftertaste. Balanced, refreshing, and complexly hoppy. Absolutely delicious, and it's only 3.6%!
M: Light body with ample, fine carbonation. Excellent.
O: Oakham blows me away yet again. This is quite possibly the best session ale I've ever had, and only by trying it side-by-side with The Kernel's Table Beer could that question be put to rest. American-style British breweries really know how to use hops in small beers. Fantastic!
Cheers!
