This is from a 500ml bottle that was originally bottled June of 2021. I have been carefully cellaring this one....alcohol is 5.5%
A- This pours a lovely clouded pinky bluey color and I don't know if I've ever seen the aggressive bubbles that are rising swirling around the top of the tulip that I poured into.....there isn't even any uniform columns rising but it is all over the board like a tornado of sorts! The head starts out about a finger and a half and settles down to a solid bluish/pinkish colored soapy layer over top the liquid....this layer retains very well long term. I cannot say the same thing for the lacing, as it quickly slides back into the brew only leaving behind a watery patch.
S- I am noticing, even from afar, a funky sour bacterial aroma that has background notes of blueberry, haskap, tart cherry, raspberry and perhaps some blackberry too. The funk is reminiscient of a wild fruit beer, but without the sharpness behind it. Malts play second fiddle to the nostrils, and the finish is fruity, bitter, and more funk!
T- There are some sour notes about this....like I'm not sure how to really explain it, but I gave my wife a taste and she likened it to a less intense Warhead candy. I on the otherhand find it tastes more like unripe berries, think a blend, as I cant say that it is specific to blueberry, but maybe throw in some cranberry and tart raspberry to the mix and this is what I am tasting. The finish is not bitter at all really, but clean and slightly puckering, but not overpowering.
M/O- This has a light body overall and as the looks would suggest, the carbonation is plentiful, and the more I drink this, the more I am enjoying it, and that says a lot seeing as Sours are far down the ladder amongst the styles that I like. I believe this has aged well, and feel it could last in the cellar another year for sure. A nice beverage on a hot summer day like today!

Pours a light pink, very mild tart, blueberries with skin, bit of wheat, sweet blueberry decent head but not much lacing.
