a really nice beer, i havent seen anything from these guys in colorado for a long time until i found this one over at joy. it says brewed with raspberry juice, which i suppose is different than brewed with fresh raspberries, although its hard to appreciate any real difference or lack of authenticity in the fruit profile of this. its fresh tasting to me, tart and jammy at the same time, really natural, and lots of it. a slightly faded almost brown turning rose color in the glass, incredibly lively, giving rise to a head several inches tall and pure white, i pull beer to my mouth through it the entire time, it doesnt recede at all. the berries are really leading the charge, and i am actually a little disappointed by that, as good as this smells and tastes. its as much juice as it is beer, and it most certainly doesnt taste like lambic, which i hoped would be the base for this. instead its a pale and light wheat beer with a soft saison yeast profile to it, faint hints of white wine and cut flowers to it, but this really isnt that beery underneath all the fruit, i wanted a more compelling base beer, and while i think its very good, its not as interesting as i think i hoped it would be. that said, the fruit is awesome in here, really robust and honest tasting, and the beer overall still has a rustic sort of charm to it. a little sweet and a little tart to finish, rushing carbonation, and a long lasting fruity pop on the tongue. well made and tasty, not the lambic base i have come to love in these, but a nice beer overall, and a treat to find something from these guys again in the denver market!

It pours a reddish brown with minimal head. The aroma is of raspberry preserve with some mild sourness. The taste is fairly mild, with raspberry upfront and some sour and sweet notes toward the end. Not too complex but intriguing and definitely refreshing.

Poured from a 12oz bottle, best before January 2017.

Hazy amber/light red body with average to thin head. Strong raspberry jam aroma which i liked. A bit more discrett in flavor but raspberry presence is felt. Cream, very mild acidity, much more malty. A good fruit beer choice IMO.

Pours a very effervescent orange with a little blush thrown in, plus 1 finger of ivory colored head. Nice lacing & head retention

S: Raspberry, woody hops

T: Follows the nose, a little dry as well up front. More of the same as this warms, a little tartness. Finishes a little fruity, with some wetness & a little tart

MF: Light body, fairly firm carbonation

A pretty easy to drink example of the style, nothing world changing here though

Date on bottle is 06 05 10 though it's probably just too scuffed to make out properly. Poured into a tulip it has a thin pink white ring of a head and a crystal clear red body. Smell of raspberry tart, bread, slight slight butter, strawberry jam, and floral. Taste is tart raspberry, bready malt right after, and a very jam like flavor, almost like mixing water with jam to a perfect drinkable liquid. Very light mouhfeel and body. A very nice drinkable framboise that's isn't too cloyingly sweet yet has such a remarkably raspberry flavor unlike any other framboise I've had, still not necessarily what I expect of the style or the best framboise but a very interesting rendition that I'd recommend.

Ruby red color in a snifter. No head to speak of.

Sweet aroma of raspberries.

Raspberries first and foremost in the taste. The taste also had a champagne-like quality, like a rose champagne.

Sweet, not tart.

In complete fruit-forward form, the strong overlay of raspberry finds favor with the seldom seen French biere de garde. Its lager-like smoothness, malty richness, supple spice and fruit become the catalyst for delivering the berries in all their sweet and tangy vibrancy.

The Framboise pours with the predicted deep ruby glow. Its haze diffuses and darkens its austere as its early formed head dissolves quickly back into the beer. Strong overtones of ripe raspberries strike the nose with a true-to-form flavor that's not overly candied or sweetened. While the taste also leads with bold rasberry overtones there's the malty, cakey lushness of grain sweetness, cream corn and wheat bread.

Change is subtle over the middle palate as its lush raspberry taste seeps deeply into the tastebuds, hinging on syrups and reductions. But a tangy wine-like acidity and mild carbonic bite balances the fruit, offering up their spicy palatability. Still, the starchy textures of grain, bread and slight corn supports it all on its biscuit viscosity.

The beer's exit from the palate leaves behind a medium body but a medium-full fruit flavor. As the raspberries have covered up much of the beer's French farmhouse nuances, its finish is long, semi-sweet and sangria-like.

A - 330ml poured to a wine glass. Some foam-gush upon opening. Nice red color with a small off-white head. Mostly full cap and good lace left by the end.

S - Pure raspberry juice, authentic-not-syrup. Pretty sweet but good with thoughts of red Starburst, fruit snacks and lollipops. Very slight grassy and bready tones.

T - Again mostly all about the raspberry, with maybe a bit less intensity than the nose. Some stem&skin flavors and a bit of a biscuity malt finish. As it warms I'm reminded of raspberry iced tea.

M - Light feel, a bit on the thin side. Highish carbonation+foam level. Very easy drinking. ...Almost too easy drinking.

O - For a straight up raspberry fruit beer it's quite good. It's very straightforward and is what it is but doesn't come off as fake or cloying, drinks easy and refreshes. Almost nothing going on for a base beer but fruity solidity makes up for that for the most part.
