After a long day of giving 110%, sometimes you just want to give between 49-67% and have social hour with your friends. That’s why we made Social Hour. It’s a hazy, wit-style ale inspired by the classic Zombie cocktail with tropical hints of pineapple, pink guava, coriander and mint. And who knows, maybe one Social Hour will lead to another Social Hour will lead to another Social Hour and suddenly you’re standing on a bar during GABF playing air guitar.

12oz can, produced on September 29th, 2025
On the pour nearly 2 fingers of decent looking white head forms on top of a relatively hazy yellow-golden body. Head retention is alright but nothing beyond average.
Aroma is bad. Pukey yeast aromas dominate like in a cheap wine. The bright acidic notes plus that dirty yeast aroma really put me off.
Taste is better but not great. Boozy and a bit overly sweet. There is a slight malty flavor in the finish but that's the only thing I'm even vaguely enjoying. Still bit winey. I don't like wine at all.
Feel is average for the style, being a bit thick, with a medium to long finish, but up front, the alcohol makes itself known.
Overall I'm glad the flavor doesn't follow the aroma, but for being less than 2 months old that aroma is inexcusable.

i had a hard time with this one, my least favorite of the recent round of beers i drank from these guys, for one its super sweet, for two its not really a wit in any recognizable sense, more of a fruited american wheat, seems almost dishonest, drinks boozy and cheap, and they apparently also do some sort of imperial version of this, which sounds crazy, who is asking for that?! pale and a bit cloudy from the tap, not heavy looking to me, bright yellow looking and without very much head at all, under carbonated by any standard, but obscenely so for something calling itself a witbier, but it doesnt look bad. the aroma and flavor are real sweet, generic tropical fruit, orange juice from concentrate, white grape juice that kids drink on new years, maybe papaya or guava or something, pineapple candy, nothing really at all from the yeast, not spicy or estery or anything, not even belgian, not neutral either, a little cheap and hot but without any kind of old world authenticity. whats working for it, for me, is the wheat. this tastes and feels like a wheat based beer and has some pleasant softness to it, shame its so sugary, forced to be sweet, and under carbonated. hints of peach and melon, but more like the jelly belly jellybeans than real fruit, and its long on the palate like that. some light tang, possible coriander, toast, and wheat heft, definitely flavored beer, built for a certain kind of drinker, and unlikely to appeal to a lover of more classically belgian styled takes, to me this was a real letdown, and not up to the high standard these guys have established across the rest of their brands. could not do more than one of these, too flavored to work in any imaginable food context, and not easy enough to fit the name it bears. rough go.

This is one fruity witbier. I can't pick out just one dominant fruit flavor but several make an appearance here, including various tropical ones like pineapple and guava, along with your basic citrus. I did not get the mint at all like they say on the description, but there was just a hint of coriander that makes it a witbier. Different than your usual Blue Moon types, but just on the edge of being an actual cocktail.

12 fl oz pull-tab can:
Its cocktail leanings leave it tasting artificial and not like a beer proper.

Can from Total Wine in ABQ, enjoyed a few days later in Riverside. Power tropical (papaya?) flavor. Not sure I dig it though.

From a 12oz can. Hazy orange color with a thin layer of white head. Faint citrus/apricot smell. Light feel. Tropical fruit flavors with some earthy Belgian yeast character on the finish. Refreshing on a hot day, but lacking some of the spice and wheat notes I'm used to in a Witbier.

12 oz. can - Best before 10/31/20:
Pours hazed light yellow with a creamy thin head that all but dissipates. Some lacing sticks.
The smell is of tropical fruits with oranges and some bread.
The taste is of orange peel and tropical fruits, A touch of banana bread and a hint of mint in the finish.
It has a juicy body. Very smooth and refreshing. Alcohol very well-covered. Very easy to drink.
An enjoyable spin on the style. It is a brew with a wit influence. Unique.

Got this as part of a gift from the New Mexico Bowl on a recent work trip. Had one can at the hotel, giving it a 3.5 on Untappd, but was hoping this one would be better. Online description read, “After a long day of giving 110%, sometimes you just want to give between 49-67% and have social hour with your friends. That’s why we made Social Hour. Poured a golden semi-clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white frothy-to-fizzy head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Good spotty lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled guava, coriander, pear, pineapple, lemon zest, grass, hints of peppery spice and Belgian cloves. (Smell - 3.50)
Taste followed the nose, but not quite as good. In order got guava, pear, pineapple, coriander, lemon zest, peppery spice, Belgian clove and grass. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.50)
Good overall, but I slightly overrated it. (Overall - 3.50)

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a lightly hazed orange amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a decent sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heavy of a wheaty smell mixed with lots of bread and yeast. Along with these smells comes some notes of sweet citrus and tropical flavors and a decently strong hit of coriander and clove.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather wheat bread like malt flavor accompanied by lots of orange and some light fruitiness of pineapple and guava as well as a a banana flavor. The later sweet flavors grow stronger and stronger as the taste moves forward, being accompanied by some yeast and a bit of a grassy taste. All these tastes take the taste to the end, where they are accompanied by some flavors of lemon candy and a bit of coriander and clove, one is left with a sweet and wheat taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is somewhat thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the wheaty tastes mixed with the sweetness, the feel is great and makes for a nice slow and flavorful media.
Overall – A bit on the heavy and sweet side for a wit, but it has some good flavors and a rather nice easy drinking feel overall. All in all it is at least worth a try.
