Served from the handpump at Beachwood BBQ, on to the beer:
Copper colored and served up with a thick and creamy head that lasts much of the way down, and along the way down decorating the glass with lace. Oddly, there isn't much maltiness noticed in the nose, but more of a hoppy note. A tropical sort of hoppiness, and pine too.
To taste, there's a sqeeze of hop juice, and finally we get a touch of coffee bean, a touch up of toast, and a neutral malt base. The medium and nearly flat body work well in this context.
Not nearly as flavorful as I hoped, especially given that the standard altbier in Hangar 24's portfolio is already a good one. Try it for the tick.

On cask at Beachwood I,
A: Pours a murky brown with a light off-white head. Good retention, spotty lace.
S: Earthy malt profile, notes of coffee and chocolate.
T: A malt oriented flavour. The coffee is there and adds a nice complexity. Not tasting any of the maple syrup. Light grassy hop finish.
M: Medium-bodied, light carbonation, smooth, easy drinking.
O: A nice mix of flavours. A solid effort from this IE brewery.
