Never start at the top, my children. Some words of advise from your main man Raul: Never start at the top.

Raul knows that this is a cherry Weissbier, but because of that, it gives it a very fruit like beer quality. And when Raul first ventured into that area, it was with New Glarus (so any offering since then will never be matched).

It's ok though. Light, airy, fruity... not repulsive, but also just not the best. So point of the day: don't let your first taste of nectar be from a Victoria's Secret model or the rest of your life will be lived in disappointment.

Cherry Berliner Weiss, just another break off tradition. On-tap at Hangar 24 itself, on to the beer:

Grapefruit pink flesh makes up the color of this Berliner. The head on top is fuzzy and drops quickly to a thin lace. Its aroma is mild, some water rinsed through whole cherries picks up a little bit of the fruit. Not much else.

Despite the added fruit, this Berliner plays itself more than the cherry aspect. The modest tartness is the main flavor, and there's a light cherry note. There's also a kiss of lemon. It's a light bodied beer with gentle fizz.

No, it's not the most vibrant beer around. It's a beer made for the hot summer days of the Inland Empire; lightly flavored and very refreshing.
